From summer dream to Portuguese adventure
We are Lennart and Juultje, and together with our two children we traded life in the Netherlands for beautiful Batalha. What started as a recurring summer dream slowly grew into a decision: now or never.
Every holiday, the feeling came back. The desire to live outdoors, to enjoy more freedom, to welcome guests, and to build something truly our own. Sometimes Lennart dreamed a little louder, other times Juultje did. Until one day, we both felt the same thing at the exact same moment: if we’re going to do this, we do it now.
We started searching, scrolling through Idealista, reading along in Facebook groups… and then we came across this place. It immediately felt right. As if everything had fallen into place.
Lennart brings years of experience in hospitality and hotels. Hospitality runs through his veins. Juultje worked as a surgical assistant: caring, attentive, and with a great eye for detail.
That combination is exactly what we want to bring into our B&B: personal attention, a warm welcome, and a place where you instantly feel at home.
We can’t wait to share our dream with you.
